Peter Maynard was very glad he spent $18,000 to save his beloved Labrador retriever.
When the vet told Fayatteville, North Carolina, builder that his dog, Clyde, cancer
and could only be saved with a huge and expensive dose of radiation. Maynard
didn’t hesitate to give the ok and pay the vet bill, because Clyde was like his son.
The radiation worked, and Clyde made a full recovery. Less tan tew years later,
Clyde repaid the kindness when he saved Peter’s girl friend from near death in a
house fire.
He nudged her awake and kept nudging her until she escaped the burning house.
